How to do hand stitch braids

This method involves using your pinky finger to section the horizontal lines that create the stitches that you braid into a cornrow.

Sleek the hair using gummy professional gel for maximum hold and part your cornrow section using a rat tail comb.

Start by creating a horizontal line using your rat tail comb at the beginning of the cornrow.

Divide the hair in the horizontal line into three equal parts and braid it in three times. This will be your first stitch.

Section out some hair using straight and up through the middle motions on each side as you slide it in between your thumb and pointer finger.

Make sure all your straight lines are the same size to avoid having uneven lines.

Ideally, the longer the nail on your pinky finger, the better.

Keep creating a line and moving it up through the middle as you slide it in between your thumb and pointer finger until you get to the end.

At the end of the cornrow, switch to a flip method and do an under braid to finish braiding the hair.

Once you master this technique , adding braiding hair as you move along the length of the cornrow when doing feed in braids will be easy.
